Time constraints due to exclusion and having to tender in was an issue. We were quite a distance from the mainland which made it harder to go to the mainland. Before we were not so far out so time was not so much of an issue to get to the mainland.

The island is full of poor people whom are islanders. Very friendly and kind souls but the people live poorly and its evident .The river Wallace excursion was fabulous and Amelia our tour guide was great.. just nudge her to get on with tour as early as possible. Also hope your bus doesnt break down..not her fault but company needs to try harder.

We walked around the city not much to really see. It’s hot, dusty and kind of boating. I would take a tour or stay on the ship if you don’t. Not my favorite Stop.

Been to Belize many times and have done most of the super excursions, my favorite being the cave tubing. This time we went ashore only for lunch to The Wet Lizard bar and grille. Added yet another year to my comments written in marker on the ceiling of the deck, and had a super lunch with some Belizian beer. YUM

The ship docks 5 miles from town and you have to take a small boat 20minutes to the town dock. Poor town area outside port area, but locals are friendly and excursion areas are beutiful. We enjoyed seeing howler monkeys and walking through rain forest, beautiful!
