Very Dirty. Waste of a stop. Did however enjoy a small outdoor bar located at the port. Very friendly staff.

Just got off to shop and shops were right off the ship so not a long walk.

Loved this port!! We took the swim in a water hole then to mayan temple and lunch and beach. This was a great tour. Temple was great along with everything else!!

It was horrible. We did get off ship, took the free buses available to your downtown but didn't get off bus. It was scary and sketchy. If I'm ever there again will definitely book a Carnivsl sanctioned excursion.

Progresso isn’t that good of a port in my opinion. When you get off the ship there are some shops that are good to waste time and relax, but there isn’t anything to do if you do not purchase an excursion. We’ve been to the beach before at this port but that’s really all there is. Besides the Mayan ruins which isn’t my cup of tea.

we asked for suggestions on what to see from the staff at the excursion desk. The cave snorkeling was recommened. When I ask about my son going (who is very large) the lady said it wouldn't be for him because we would have to squeeze through small openings to go from cave to cave. So my son did something else and the other in the family went tot he caves. There were no small openings to swim through...my son could have gone with us. The staff was very in-experienced.
