Review summary

Going into this cruise I wasn’t expecting much, we just needed a quick getaway and we chose this cruise. But we were quite shocked as it turned out to be a really fun and great cruise!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and Easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I tried every venue that was offered and it was all delicious. There are plenty of choices to choose from and none disappointed!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We knew that this was a smaller/older ship and there weren’t as many activities as some of the ships we have been on. But it was still fun and great time just relaxing and chilling.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows weren’t too bad, but the live music around the ship was amazing! TJ the cruise director was also pretty good/funny!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every staff/crew member we saw was very friendly and made us feel at home.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Being an older ship, it has that classic Carnival decor, you could tell on some parts of the ship that it was older but it was always clean and still looked pretty!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Out Cabin was clean at all times and very roomy! Only dislike was it did get a little hot on some nights while trying to sleep.

Ship tip

Go in with an open mind and get ready to have fun! It was truly a fantastic short get-away.

Ports of call

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

2 out of 5
Progresso isn’t that good of a port in my opinion. When you get off the ship there are some shops that are good to waste time and relax, but there isn’t anything to do if you do not purchase an excursion. We’ve been to the beach before at this port but that’s really all there is. Besides the Mayan ruins which isn’t my cup of tea.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Due to flooding and a storm in New Orleans, the ship had to dock in Mobile and Carnival provided free transportation by bus back to the port of NOLA. You can’t help Mother Nature and I think Carnival did a great job putting safety first and it was all smooth.
