Visit Uxmal Mayan ruins, a beautiful and fantastic place. Progreso, at least what we saw of it riding through on the tour bus, looked like a dump. Sorry!

BRING PESOS!!! Go to you bank and convert your money, youll save so much! You will always be ripped off paying american! This is a great place to just get off the boat, take the shuttle to the end of the pier, and hang out. I live on the texas border of mexico and this place reminds me of what mexico used to be. Everything is WAY cheaper here than Cozumel! So dont book an excursion here, just get out and shop. If you like souvenirs you dont need to ride the shuttle, there are alot of shops right off the boat. If you wanna hang out, drink, find cooler souvenirs, or go to a beach thats free, take the free shuttle(2 minute ride).

We just went on one excursion. It was the Beach Reosrt one, I think. They just took you to a beach and drinks were included, as well as some water stuff. kayaking and water trampoline. It was awesome!! However, the bus to get there was late so we didn't get our whole time we paid for in. It was very frustrating standing around waiting to get on a bus that was late. Also, the trip on teh bus was like 30 minutes. Isn't there anything closer? It is a waste of time to drive all the way out there. I also feel like the ship left Progresso so early. Why couldn't we wait until later to leave?

An industrial port so in order to see or do anything expect to travel. Spent equal amount of time in transportation as excursion. VERY FRIENDLY people we met everywhere we went.

We just explored on our own and did some shopping. Make sure you walk past all the shops and cab’s and get the free shuttle into town. Save yourself a little bit. But don’t forget to tip your driver. They do an awesome job.
