Review summary

I was disappointed I had read a lot of things that said to bring cash for gratuity so we did just that and then after reviewing all of our receipts gratuity was added to every single one of them including one just buying a bottle of water. We had no air conditioner and we weren't even offered a complimentary drink the staff was aware of the AC not working they stated it was happening in 14 cabins one would think that they would have available fans being as though we can not open the window; and or at least offer a cold drink maybe two. Drinks are way over priced and one may want to look and see if they have the beverages they drink before going on cruise. My husband drinks Budweiser and they do not carry Budweiser; he was very disappointed.

I had no air condition and when I went to the counter to tell them they stated it was a technical issue and they wouldn't even offer us a complementary drink. The had no fans and you are unable to open a window. All they did was say they were working to resolve the issue. We had to spend a lot of time outside of our stateroom as it was just too hot.

Girlfriend. I’m not sure who told you to bring cash for tips...they were very wrong. I don’t think that was the cruise lines fault.

No reason to ever leave the MDR hungry. You can order as much as you like. You should have called Carnival when you returned home about the AC issue.

How terrible not to have A/C that would hard to take on a ship. They should offered you another cruise a discount or anything. I have been fortunate not to have that happened but sure can make a bad vacation. I totally get it and you should call and voice this problem a little more. Dosnt mean cruising isnt for you it just means you were not treated like you mattered shame on carnival for that!

At dining u r allowed to order all the food u can eat. My boys always order more than one entree.

You are the 3rd person coming off the Valor that has said the A/C was not working well. We leave in 30 days and plan to bring box fans just in case Did they said what was wrong? We have an AFT balcony on Upper level.

Cruising may not be for you. Most people love it, but some don’t seem to enjoy it. Gratuities are added to items purchased on the ship. The suggestion to bring bills for tips was meant for the airport, baggage handlers, cabs in the ports, etc.
