I did an all day culinary tour, with the ship Head Chef. we toured the market near Rialto Bridge, bought all the produce for a meal, the chef then went back to the ship with us, we had a light lunch and then did wine tasting all afternoon, before heading back to the ship and the evening meal, prepared by the Chef from the produce purchased in Venice.... one of the best tours I've every done.

Venice is a nice, but veeeeery busy place. BUY A MAP! It's worth it! We got lost :)

Venice was great and the best time we had, but that was before we boarded the ship, we got to Venice a day early to enjoy it

We flew into Venice, and stay in the old town. We did not do an excursion. We did walk around and soak of the flavor. Visited Murano, St Marks, took the vasprato and did spend the money for a water taxi to go to the ship which was well worth it.

The ships location was quite a ways from the action. There was a people mover which took us closer but still a good 30 minute walk to the cathedral.

On the day that you arrive in Venice, you can take the People Mover to get where you want to go instead of booking transportation through Royal Caribbean. The People Mover is located near where the ship docks.

Comfortably the best place of the cruise, Venice is absolutely beautiful and I would re-visit anytime. Need a few quid though as it's very expensive. Top tips: Leave the gondolas, they are incredibly expensive and not worth the 120 euros we paid for 20 minutes. If your leaving by air from Venice, get a private speed boat to the airport, well worth the additional cost.

Made our own way around, use water taxis! Was very busy on cruise changeover day!

No excursions needed. All you need is a map and a travel guide, Enjoy and relax without a tour guide.
