The overall cruise was good. It was very hot and humid. The food good. Now because we had a person "fall/jump" overboard on the last night, that was the true test of how the ships crew did. This was an epic fail for the passengers who were impacted by this. There was little assistance to helping people make other arrangements with hotel and flights. There were very few phones to use to try to call out, and many people were not able to call. They also charged $5.00 minute. Gave 15 minutes free wi fi, but took longer to get into website. They offered no compensation of additional expenses. So hopefully they will train crew better in assisting frazzled guests.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Went very smooth. Worried due to other reviews that it was awful, but we got there and there was a line, but less than 20 minutes so.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
It was nice to have so many restaurants to pick from that were not additional costs. There was a bar restuarant, Auqua, main dinning room, pool grill, buffet, Chinese option. There were 4 speciality too with additional costs. The food was good.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our cabin steward Cedrick was wonderful. From day 1 he remembered our name, was alway friendly, and took very good care of our needs. The restaurants staff was also very friendly. I passed by many officers, and for the most part they did not even acknowledge me. The excursion crew was great and fun.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Really concerned because of reviews right before we left. They did a good job keeping the ship clean. The only down side, was the closet in our room, and side shelves that were more difficult to access.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
The room was a good size and the furniture was placed well. The bath room was also had more shelve space. Shower had good water pressure. Veranda was good size as well.
Ship tip
If you prefer not to have a lot of children on the ship, stay away from the month of August. So many families taking in last vacation before the kids head back to school. And there doesn't seem to be a curfew for them or it is not enforced. If you have children, they do seem to have many options for them
We flew into Venice, and stay in the old town. We did not do an excursion. We did walk around and soak of the flavor. Visited Murano, St Marks, took the vasprato and did spend the money for a water taxi to go to the ship which was well worth it.
This exception was good if you really like to shop. The tour guide gives a short tour speech, and then you are on your own for awhile, back to the bus, another stop and then you have more time on your own and get back to the ship on your own. The cable cars back to the ship they will tell you the line is long, and it is. We did not shop when to get into the line to go back to the ship and it was almost 1 1/2 hours in line. If you care to walk its a long way down, and you are also walking where the donkeys walk so watch your step.
Took the TukTuk and walking tour, and really enjoyed that tour. Went to the Old town with a second guide and this was a good tour. We are really not shoppers but they do give you a chance to go shopping here.
Do cruise ships ever stop a passenger's alcohol consumption? On my NCL cruise, people kept drinking well past having one too many. I could CD easily see someone falling overboard.
To be fair, I doubt if the staff get trained on the aftermath of a chaotic incident! Yes the woman survived, rescued by Croatian Coastguard. She obviously has some mental health issues to jump off a ship, but caused chaos for 2500 passengers, who missed their flight and disrupted the next cruise for the oncoming 2500 passengers.
