The town is pleasant, the walk through the park and the cathedral is very nice. Quite bustling. Definitely good for a bit of shopping if that’s your thing. The port itself is pretty grim, a proper working port, lots of dust and sand, and the air quality was pretty awful around the port itself.

A lovely port whose city centre is a 5 minute walk from the terminal. Plenty of historical sights to see and shopping opportunities to suit all tastes and budgets. The cathedral is simplistic in design but beautiful and worth visiting. Easy for those with mobility needs to access too.

Got on a hop on hop off bus. €25 adult, half price children, including a boat trip. Visited the palace, but was closed and only open at the weekend, not many points of interest.

A bit of a planning mistake from P&o. Apparently Santander is great for shopping and we docked there on a Sunday and there wasn’t much going on
