Beautiful experience worth the money. If you enjoy mid size ships then this is one to go on. The itinerary was good although El Ferrol not one of the better ports. Lots of people complained about it.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We were in Medina restaurant for freedom dining. Lovely atmosphere with a piano playing itself. Waiters were all polite and friendly however we did not get allocated the same table twice so was diffficult to get to know them.
Buffet is same as on every ship. A large variety of food to choose from and again friendly attentive waiters.
Onboard Activities

Pools were always clean and useable (apart from when they had to empty it due to adverse conditions in bay of Biscay).
Pool grill was clean and food edible however no pizza available on aurora.
Gym small but serviceable
Spa - didn’t use on this occasion
Entertainment

Roy Walker was brilliant (both shows were different)
Pianist was not bad
Children's Programs
Didn’t take children
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Although polite and service was good from them we didn’t get to know them as we did on other ships. However we did find one friendly face from Azura in The Glass House who was just as friendly as he was back then and also to our amazement remembered us.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Absolutely love the 1940s feel and decor of Aurora was beautiful ship.
Okay it had its moments and we had to stay in Porto longer than expected by the captain kept us updated on progress.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Well appointed (apart from plug sockets - never enough) clean and tidy.
Ship tip
You can visit all areas in one day so take the time to enjoy each one. 3.2 Laps of the promenade deck is 1 mile so do this each day you will feel better for it (if you are able to of course).
Although we docked at this port we did an excursion to La Coruna instead. To the Crystal Palace. As not many cruise ships stop here they make a big thing of us when we leave and get bagpipers to play the ship off and then when we get to the fort they fire the cannon.
This time we booked an excursion and enjoyed the city far better than going it alone. The visit to the Offley Distillery was great and tasting the port was worth it. I even bought two bottles of it back and two of their glasses
