Gross town, we went to Cassis in a taxi. It was VERY expensive. Figure out a train first.

Took an excursion to the Luberon Valley - highlight of the trip. Well worth the cost of the personal tour

Marseille was gorgeous, the public transportation is eary to figure out, and the food was wonderful. Make sure to stop at Parc Longchamp. It's far enough out of the port so alot of tourists avoid it.

Walked around the city, lots of sites to see so you may want a tour to get to them all as they are spread out throughout the city

Take the "Free Shuttle" at Info Desk rather than the 11.95Euro shuttle offered by the cruise line. They are the same. Both bring you to the Old Port (a 20-min ride)
