Review summary

The cruise was amazing overall. Certain cities will be skipped next time, but that's due to the attitude of the people and difficulties experienced ashore. The cruise line had nothing to do with this, as we went on our own, not through an excursion.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was really good, service was great. The specialty restaurants were absolutely worth the extra price. What stood out was Wonderland. A culinary experience more than a restaurant, the thought and imagination that went into that entire place was superb.

Hairspray was incredible.

Service and Staff

Housekeeping was very attentive, Clyde even went as far as to place googly eyes on the towel animals he made for us. He did an impeccable job.

Ship tip

Don't bother bringing any portable electronics other than a phone. You'll barely use them.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Civitavecchia was alright. We spent an extra night to see Rome for a day. Mastro Titta pizza near the dock can't be missed.

Naples, Italy

3 out of 5
As a warning, be very aware of your surroundings while in Naples, cars and scooters come careening down small alleyways and sometimes forget to fold in their side mirrors.

Barcelona, Spain

Make sure to get Churros and see the Sagrada Familia. Even as a non-religious person, the building is breathtaking, and the story is quite interesting.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

5 out of 5
Go. To. The. Beach. We went to Cala Major and the water was beautiful, people were friendly, and there were even little fish swimming around our feet.

Marseille (Provence), France

5 out of 5
Marseille was gorgeous, the public transportation is eary to figure out, and the food was wonderful. Make sure to stop at Parc Longchamp. It's far enough out of the port so alot of tourists avoid it.

La Spezia, Italy

Traveler Photos

The chicken and the egg from Wonderland. An inside view of the Sagrada Familia. A little bit of Clyde's handiwork. Escargot from the main dining hall.
