We were tired of the hard core tours so we did a beach day and it was fantastic. Went to a private beach and had chairs and water service. Drinking a bottle of wine on a beach in the south of France was another check on the bucket list for sure.

Marseille itself was not all that great. Somewhat dirty and uninviting. We took a bus tour to Aix en Provence. That was a beautiful town. Everything you would hope for in a French town. Cobblestone streets, great bakeries, open air markets and shopping. (Both low and very high end)

We took the land tour which was very good. Judy liked This city the least of all the stops, but I especially enjoyed it since the last time I was there was in 1962, and was a poor traveler awaiting a repatriation loan from the US government in order to get back home. So to see and tour the city once again, but “in style,” was quite unique and nostalgic!

Grabbed a taxi waiting at the port but did not do a Carnival Excursion. The taxi fella showed us around the spots visited by tourists, charged us $25 per person for 2 hours...

Did a walking food tour. Quite interesting, knowledgeable and friendly guide - but could have had a better selection of venues and more generous taste offerings.
