Our visit here was cut short due to rough sea, so we only did the optional tour of the Krka National Park hike. We were anticipating a nasty day of rain and wind, but those natural elements contributed to more water than the park has seen in a long while. Therefore, the river and falls were tremendous! The rain slacked off during our hike, so we had enjoyable visit.

Took a walking tour of Diocletian's Palace and sights around the palace.

Excursion: Omission & Cetna Countryside. We drove along the coast to Omis,walked thru the town then boarded a riverboat that meandered along the Catina River estuary. Drifted to an old water mill then downstream to a local restaurant for a snack of regional delicacies.

We did the bus tour to the old medieval city and the royal palace but had to give it up half way because we were at lecture overload. Shopping was very good at the pier/port vendors.

Do not miss Diocletian’s palace - which would be difficult as It is vast. Mor Game of Thrones filming took place here which was a particular highlight.
