Didn't know Ephesus was just an ancient city of ruins (not an active, current city). Schedule time accordingly.

The tour of Ephesus is great as is the carpet making display. Don't try to go to the beach as there is a fee.

We didn't do an excursion and should have. The port city was not fun. We tried to walk around and shop but you were so mobbed and stalked by sales people that even two experienced travelers (and shoppers) were uncomfortable and ended up going back to the ship.
