Our first cruise...

Sail Date: April 25, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was very nice (kept immaculately clean!), and the staff was incredible! The food was exceptionally good. And the spa was heavenly. (Get your nails and hair done on board. They know what they are doing!!!) There was always something fun to do on board. And there was always great entertainment - the talent on board was amazing.  We can't believe how many places we was an incredible itinerary!

Our only suggestion is to move the sports court.  There is a space right next to it that is protected from the wind, exhaust wind, and the natural gas fumes...and could become a  great caged pickleball court.  (Pickleball is quite the rage now and EXCELLENT exercise!)  If nothing else - perhaps you could add a solid wall on the current sport court on the right hand side as you face the court to block all the wind and fumes.  Have a movable net available.  We brought our own paddles and balls and faked it.

All in all - it was a terrific first cruise!  Bravo Norwegian Spirit!  Thank you!!!

Ship Quality
Exceptionally clean at all times.
Food and Dining
We were surprised at how great the food was!
Cabin / Stateroom
LOVED having a balcony. It was more spacious than we expected and our cabin steward, Conrad, went out of his way to make sure were were comfortable!
Service and Staff
The entire staff was BEYOND great. Special thanks to Conrad (our fabulous cabin steward); Wanto (best bartender EVER); Ilse (best nail technician EVER) and Anna (best hair stylist in the world)
We were impressed by the talent on the ship. The shows were fabulous and we especially liked Juno Duo. WOWZERS!!!!
Children's Programs N/A
Onboard Activities
Lots to do!!!!
Destinations and Excursions
Quite the itinerary!
Barcelona, Spain
Hands down - the Tapas Tour!!!!!!! Stay a few nights before boarding - so much to see and do.
Toulon, France Did not get off the ship. Thus, we had the whole place to ourselves!
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
Go down the little streets to find romantic dining spots. Florence is incredible. I wish we had gone to the wine country.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
We were there during a very busy holiday - it was packed. Check your calendar for European holidays before booking. I wish we had gone on the "farm visit with a homemade meal" - check out that tour.
Naples, Italy
We could live on the Amalfi Coast!!!!
Mykonos, Greece
Beautiful beach town. Eat fresh seafood!
Istanbul, Turkey
Far too crowded! And our guide was horrible. (Not a NCL guide.)
Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey
Buy a carpet!!!! And visit Epheus. WOW!!!
Piraeus (Athens), Greece
Beautiful, but again, very crowded.
Venice, Italy
Buy some Murano glass and Bruano lace. Incredible.
