Everything near the ship was very inflated and your typical Tourist trap. Every one trying to sell you something and not very willing to negotiate on the inflated prices.

Nachi Cocom beach club is a definite recommendation. For about $65 per person for the day you get unlimited food and drinks plus a private area on the beach. They also only let 100 people in per day so it will never be overcrowded.

Lots of shopping. Great food. We took a small-group (35) excursion on a catamaran for snorkeling. It was terrific. Abundant fish, then great margeritas.

When you pick a shore excursion for this trip, ask about the beach you are going to. e did they Myan Ruins and Beach trip which was a 4 1/2 hour excursion, but they took us to a beach that you could not swim at due to the under current and it was very rocky.
