The best excursion of the trip. The guide Paula was superb. She kept us very informed and educated throughout the tour. St Martin and the caves were very interesting. The seafood chowder at the Caves Restaurant was outstanding; I could have eaten three bowls. Thank goodness we had reservations because when we arrived there were seven other buses and the line was backed around the building. Need to get a wishing stone while you visit. The Irish Pub with traditional Irish singing topped off the excursion.

Visit the Bay of Fundy for sure! We chose the calm boat ride on the Bay of Fundy followed by the City Trolley Tour combo excursion booked before the cruise via the Carnival website. The trip escorts were wonderful and knowledgeable about Saint John. Next time, I think I'll purchase the 6.5 hour Ten Top Things to See in Saint John excursion as there wasn't much more to do or see once my 2.5 hour excursion was over. The Canadians were very friendly and welcoming! Saint John is beautiful and a place that nature lovers will enjoy. The Bay of Fundy is a natural wonder.

We did not book an excursion here, and I wish we would have. We did get off the ship and walk around the downtown/commercial area, but it seems the best sights in Saint John are a bit of a drive down the coast: to St. Martin's (a little fishing village), and Hopewell Rocks. The famous Reversing Rapids are a bit closer to town, but we chose not to find a taxi to take us there (it wasn't walking distance from the ship). This was not as walkable as Newport, Boston, or BarHarbor for sightseeing, and given the opportunity again, would take the excursions along the coastline here.
