We had excellent weather throughout the cruise. Unfortunately, the leaves hadn't changed color completely. The guides told us we were about a week and a half early.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was very smooth an efficient. We were a group of 28 and were checked in in less than 20 minutes. The wait in the bus until the luggage could be downloaded took longer.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The main dining room was as expected. Chops and Jamie's were outstanding. The buffet was great for breakfast except for the last day when there were over a hundred people in line to get breakfast before disembarking.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The North Star and bumper cars were excellent. It was to cool to enjoy many outdoor events.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The best show was We Will Rock You. The Two70 lounge was interesting but the show was not the greatest.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The room steward was great and the specialty wait staff were great.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
There was a lot of storage space. We had problems with the commode not flushing for one day and notified room steward and it was fixed. The bed was a little hard. The bathroom was tight but doable and the shower was bigger than some other ships in the fleet.
Ship tip
Make sure you have reservations for dinner. If not may have to wait for awhile. Five thousand people on a ship is a lot.
We were on the bus a lot but Lexington Square and the North Bridge were great. There were 48 people on the tour which seemed awkward some time. The guide had to search for two people who didn't show on the designated time which caused some delay.
Kennebunkport was a very neat town with some interesting shops. The lobster rolls at Old Salts was outstanding. Te cruise to the Bush estate was great with the weather cooperating. Even got to see the catching of live lobsters from the boat.
Acadia National Park was excellent. Plan to return in the future. Finally got my lobster bake at the inn on the waterfront. It was excellent with mussels, claims 1 1/2 lb whole lobster, claim chowder, red potatoes and corn on the cob. Bar Harbor is a neat quaint essential harbor town.
All Things Canadian excursion Spent a lot of time on the bus. Peggy's Cove was OK but have seen better lighthouses. Lunenburg was a very quaint town and wish we could have had more time but because we were 30 minutes late leaving the port because of a microphone problem on a double decker bus. The guide talked about several things we should do but didn't have time to do much. Also we had 68 people on the tour which is way too many people for one guide to control. Finally, we were suppose to go to Citadel and take a 360 degree via of Halifax. It was cancelled because it was very dark and late getting back to ship. Need to do at beginning of excursion or start earlier in the morning. The worst excursion of the trip.
The best excursion of the trip. The guide Paula was superb. She kept us very informed and educated throughout the tour. St Martin and the caves were very interesting. The seafood chowder at the Caves Restaurant was outstanding; I could have eaten three bowls. Thank goodness we had reservations because when we arrived there were seven other buses and the line was backed around the building. Need to get a wishing stone while you visit. The Irish Pub with traditional Irish singing topped off the excursion.
