The Cruise on the whole was very good although having been on a lot of Princess Cruises we could see the massive cost cutting from the last cruise to this one ( for example the room service English breakfast is now a bacon and egg muffin 3 years ago is was a full English as per Celebrity cruises now) combined with the sell sell sell scenario especially the photos making the cruise a bit of a cash cow for Princess Cruises. The Medallion is stil in the early stages but is going over the head of the older generation and is ok for just opening your stateroom door. If you want a New England cruise this one is just fine.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Our embarkation was very special as this was our very first Princess Medallion Cruise
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We went Club Class in the dining room which worked out really well as we queued in a different line except when people decided to queue on our side as they could see we were being attended to first. The food was excellent in the main dining room and the Crown Grill was fantastic as usual

Ship tip
Listen out for the Love Boat Theme being played on the ships horn it only happens on the Regal Princess
We had originally booked an excursion in a horse drawn carriage around Arcadia National Forest but this got cancelled due to the weather, however we then reverted to a 14 seater mini bus excursion which turned out to be a lot better with more sights on route. Do not miss the Lobster Roll and the Chowder it's a must have Bar Harbour Specialallity.
We again decided to Join the Halifax Hop on Hop Off Bus with a stop off at the garden we walked back to the Ship via the boardwalk were we had our final Lobster Roll and a glass of wine
We again decided to join the Halifax Hop On Hop Off Bus to see all the sights of Halifax we jumped off on the Gardens and walked back to the Ship via the Boardwalk and had our final Lobster Roll with a glass of wine right on the boardwalk
Because we were flying to England at 17.25 we arranged an excursion via Princess Cruise around the highlights of New York and the coach dropped us off at the airport in time to catch our flight home.
