We took the Bareing Sea Crab Boat excursion on the Aleutian Ballad. One of the best by far!!! The captains kept us involved with stories of the ship and working the crab grounds! We were allowed to touch and hold the animals that were caught. The tour gave a family feel from those on the boat telling the stories. And I haven’t even mentioned the Bald Eagles! About 50 of them flowing over with wings stretched wide, swooping down to grab fish from the sea, amazing!!

This is probably our favorite port. There are great excursions and nice shops to visit.

Just took a self guided tour this day and enjoyed the port and a little shopping. Locals were friendly

Plenty of things to do. We did bear watching trip but not enough time at the port. Ship left at 3pm. Make sure you get off the ship right at 7am so you have plenty of time.

Ketchikan is a quaint little town. We decided to walk to a couple museums and do a bit of shopping. The museums were very good, not crowded. Creek Street was very crowded!

A fun city to walk around and appreciate the beautiful views of Alaska. We did not take an excursion but you could have taken a whale watching trip. They saw plenty of whales!
