Review summary

We had a wonderful time - the service and amenities were great. Views of Alaska wilderness were amazing - loved the glacier cruise days. Only regret is not taking a whale watching tour as we saw no whales from the ship as many people told us we would! I guess we’ll just have to go again! 🐳

Main dining room was excellent - food and service. John-Paul and James are a wonderful service team. Crown grill was a bit disappointing, service was less than friendly and the steaks were not great quality. Buffet was what you would expect - cafeteria food and lots of it! Trident Grill and Pizza place were great alternatives!

We rented a Jeep and drove up the Klondike Highway to the Yukon! Awesome day - saw bears. Get there early and get ahead of the tour busses!

Spent a few hours in Anchorage before flying home. It was great! Solstice Festival was happening and it was a gorgeous day!

Those whales are just so inconsistent. 😉 I've had the opposite where we saw more from the ship than on the whale tour. You are right, the solution is to go on a bunch of cruises and you will see plenty.
