I would skip the Mendenhall glacier/Enchanted forest and do the whale watching instead.

This is the only port that we had regrets. We needed to do the Mendenhall Glacier first (book off the ship) and then if you have time, take the tram up the mountain. The glacier park area closes at 1800 so we would have had time to do the tram after the glacier. We did the tram first and didn't have enough time to go to the glacier. Many people saw bears and other wildlife.

We shopped at many gift shops, plus we took the Whale watching & Mendenhall Glacier tour. By all means, take this tour.
