We so enjoyed our first-ever cruise. Everything and everyone on board made the trip so special. The only negative was the high cost of the shore excursions. They were tremendously expensive for what they offered. We can't recommend Norwegian, your staff and "Freestyle Cruising" enough to our friends.
Embarkation

Could have been better organized. Some confusion on checking luggage, tags, etc. More help out front would have made things better. The times were obviously not enforced (or even checked) which could keep crowds to a better manageable level.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food ranged from delicious to very average. Didn't dine in specialty restaurants. Main dining rooms tended to have better food. Seafood selections were the best. Beef tended to be tough or overcooked. Great variety on the buffet and crowds managed very well. Buffet was exactly as expected for feeding the masses.
Onboard Activities

Pools were nice but many of the daily activities were just "keep busy" type things of little interest. The wide range of things to do on board was nice, as were the facilities.
Entertainment

Everything show-wise was very good. We enjoyed almost all of it. The two acrobats who performed in the variety show, had their own show, and starred in the Circe de Bijiou got a little old. They did the same things in all shows and it was a little too much of them.
Service and Staff

I can't say enough about the staff. From the moment we got onboard they were friendly, helpful and went out of there way to make us feel at home. Our room steward was exceptional. They all told us the ship was their home and they wanted to make us feel like family, and they did. The wait staff, bartenders and everyone were so friendly and kind it made the entire trip a wonderful experience.
Ship Quality

Design is the best it can be for a large ship, but some getting around is confusing and takes you out of the way. Ship was very clean and staff worked hard to keep it that way.
Cabin / Stateroom

For the small size of the cabin, it was very well designed. The storage space was great for the room allotted. The balcony view was exceptional and our cabin was kept sparkling clean by our wonderful room steward.
Ship tip
Plan plenty of time to just explore the ship and all the different things offered onboard. Eat at all the offered dining spots and then go back to your favorites.
Not well organized. People were getting off even before any announcement. People were pushing in line, getting off and needing to get their luggage before they were supposed to. Could be much better organized to make it more orderly.
