I would skip the Mendenhall glacier/Enchanted forest and do the whale watching instead.

The White Pass train trip is very nice. Sit the “caboose “ when you board the train (this way you can go outside onto the platform and get better pictures.

We walked to the Creek Street area (about 10-14) blocks from ship. Nice shops w/ good deals.

While it pains me to say this, skip the Butchart Gardens excursion. The gardens are magnificent but it’s dark when you arrive and you can’t truly enjoy them.
