Overall, this was an interesting port with many interesting services. We did the Wilderness Hike excursion. Although our guide was attentive and informative, the hike itself was simply going up and down the same logging road, which did not offer much variety and was not worth the price charged.

The people that greeted us at this port was so nice. The port itself was clean and it made our excursion great. They answered any questions we asked about icy point. We enjoyed walking. The shuttle back and forth was fun. The drivers made sure we saw Eagles and their nest. We hardly knew anything about Eagles until we went to Icy Point. The lifts was scary because it would not stop, you had to get on and off while it was moving but they were there to keep us safe and helped us not to be afraid. After all that we can't stop talking about Icy Point. we loved it. we're so glad we got off the ship and took advantage of their great town and people.

Very cold. Not quite sure why we stopped here, just a money grab owned by the cruiselines.

Take the bus into town. Get off at the second stop. Go to the end of the pier and watch an amazing array of eagles. We almost missed this because it was not really promoted. Maybe because it is not technically an excursion. The bus was $5 each and local. The nature walk was also beautiful. This is where we saw whales. Moms and babies. Very special.

The town itself is very small and a bit economically depressed. The pier area is very cute and fairly new. Nice to walk around and have a drink or some local food. We took a hiking excursion and the guides were very nice and informative.
