THE NO FUN SHIP

I booked 3 cabins for a family vacation with Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival decided to separate our 3 cabins for dining (2 early and one late). I called both my travel agent and Carnival without getting the reservations changed. Carnival a family wants to dine together on a family vacation. You really ruined my "FUN SHIP" experience even before I stepped on the vessel.

I found out that we were on different dinner tables when I called to ask about the VIFP membership and she noticed we were at different tables.

It was because I booked them separately.

She said it is corrected and we should be together now.

Have you been compensated for something?

FWIW, we're posting to a thread from 9 months ago...I made the same mistake reading it and was giving out all kids of thumbs for the good suggestions. The OP has long since sailed...wanna bet no more Carnival for them?

NO Worries, Here's a suggestion that works. Arrive as early as possible. After boarding, go to the Maitre' D. They are usually in the Main dining room and he/she will accommodate you all. Make sure you do it ASAP, before the safety tender drill. It is their responsibility to resolve dining issues. Hope this can helps to get your cruise back on track. .....Enjoy.

Glad they were able to resolve your problem. Hope the cruise went well for you.

Exactly!!

Sorry you had a bad experience. Your travel agent should have fixed the problem for you. I am a travel agent an that is a simple fix. When clients are traveling together I make sure I link their cabins together so that they are seated at the same table.

Thank you. I know everything comes with a glitch. I am so happy to have my glitch solvable and not a major one.

Hello,

It's true we are blessed to have family that wants to join us on a vacation. Thumbs up to Carnival for making the changes.

Glad you were able to get things sorted out.

Now--no more sweating the small stuff! (and it all really is small stuff in the grand scheme of things)! Go and enjoy--family cruises are awesome. Those of us lucky enough to have kids to sail with us (and that we want to sail with Big Smile ) are blessed beyond measure.
