It's beginning to feel like X-mass

Off of the cruise topic, but thought I'd put in a new topic.

Today it got down to a bristly 82 degrees F here in sunny in So Cal. All the stores have had X-mass lights out for sale prior to Halloween this year. Last month I pruned the big trees so they would be ready for lights. Today I took out the extension ladder and got the eves boards strung with the Icicle lights and got the smaller of the trees all wrapped in the new LED lights that every 4th lights twinkles to give a shimmering effect when branches are wrapped (this year I got commercial grade lights, hope they last better then the big box store lights). I'll get the other tree, porch and garden next week. Trying to do it when neighbors are at work so they wont notice till the lights go on. This year we are doing all Blue lights that shimmer.......I'm sure it will stand out since the neighbors all use the multi color C-9 solid on lights.

Yes...... My X-mass shopping is finished Big Smile

I am ready to decorate for Xmas but I still have up all my Halloween/Thanksgiving decorations. We are hosting the big family Thanksgiving Dinner as usual so I need to stay in the Autumn theme. However, the day after Thanksgiving, up goes the Christmas decor little by little. It always puts me in a festive mood.

I have looked into a cruise over xmas and NY ... man is there a huge price jump. 2 weeks either side and on some cruises the price ia almnost half of the holiday rate

I knew there was a catch!

Celebrating Xmas & NYE a couple of weeks late. Leaving on Jan 18 for a 10 day voyage. I would have preferred a SB cruise, but I didn't pick the dates.

I would love to do this, but son-in-law's have to be with their family as well. Maybe one day!

I'm doing my best to get out of setting up a tree and lights. We are planning a cruise that will have us on ship for Xmas. The in-laws and daughter have agreed and are flying in. We're still debating which ship.

No shopping done, no decorating done. I'm a last minute kind of gal Surprised Check back with me on Christmas Eve LOL

Way too early for me to start decorating or even thinking about it, but I’d love to see some pics once you have everything all set up, JusMe!

Yes some shopping is done but no decorations or lights yet. In 2 weeks will start those. I love the lights and love the tree and decorations but usually only from US turkey day onward. The temp here today is getting more seasonal so that helps too. Walked the dogs tonight in my shorts, touque and gloves in a nice 32 F with a 28 windchill. Ahhh .. nice and brisk.

I think he may just listen to you........ if you have been good ?
