I'm earning my vacation

One of my coworkers asked if I was ready for the cruise... Although I haven't packed and am not embark ready... I'm READY... I don't think that I've ever felt the need or that I have earned a vacation like I have right now... Slightly sad because I'm a hard worker, and can't enjoy life more than a few weeks a year. Sad

Who else is with me?!?

I'm trying.... I was at the gym and pretending I was doing the limbo (bench presses) and then drinking my drinks (bicep Curls) ...Mojito... margarita.....pina coladas....

I feel ya... Work just offered more OT next week.... Ugh.... I figured if I talk my cruise enough maybe they will give me more vaca time?!? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL never mind that was wishful thinking.

Just fill your head with happy cruise thoughts and hang in there! The last days right before are always the toughest! Wink Happy, relaxing days are right ahead.....you've got this!!! Wishing you a wonderful cruise!!!!Big Smile

Best/worst thing... As I thought I was in the clear for OT opportunities this week, team meeting today and there is an "OT challenge" next week... I just put my head on the table and frowned....

As much as I love money and the OT... That is not happening. I have not had any time to pack/clean/Prep for the cruise.

I am totally with you. My wife and I have 8 children and 2 grand babies, we both have professional jobs and work like crazy fools to provide for them all, give them vacations, take them to their sports, dance, etc and at least once a year, we take our little escape and cruise, just the 2 of us! Hard work....Hell Yeah!

totally understand where you are coming from, I keep bringing it up to DW that I need to say forget the office, go into teaching classes online for myself so I can cruise when we want to. That may be in the near future, will see.

So ready!! I work from home, but just because my employer was kind enough to allow me to do so when we moved for DH job. I still have normal office hours, but I work extra evenings and weekends when necessary, and it's been necessary a lot lately Crying Looking forward to being totally disconnected.

I'm thinking about being a really crotchety old lady so the kids will send me on cruises just so they can get some peace Big Smile

We’re right there with you! Working 7 days a week, mostly 16+ hours a day, but that’s how we can travel for a few weeks every year!
