P&O give you really a good cruising experience. Entertainment for all types of cruisers. Our daughter, husband and grandson first time cruisers loved it. All the ports had something to offer. Restaurants, bars all offer a different experience. Everything you needed could be found on board.

Sapphire Princess

September 2018 - 7 Night Scandinavia (London Roundtrip) Cruise on Sapphire Princess

Northern delight.

The cruise gives you a nice little view of two Scandinavian capital city’s (Oslo & Copenhagen). Zeebrugee is good for a trip into Blankenburge and Skagen is a small Danish coastal town which in my view is worth a visit.

Oceana

May 2018 - Mediterranean Cruise on Oceana

Aegean Sea Cruise

Oceana is a lovely ship with one of the best atriums on a mid sized ship that I’ve seen. I personally found the ship a bit too small for my liking but for a seven night cruise it was fine. Was not overly impressed with the buffet on board, but I’m not a lover of buffet type dining.

Cruise tips

Lisbon, Portugal

Ship docks in the city. Just take a walk around lots of interesting sights to see or take a bus around the city.

Funchal, Madeira

Visit Blandy’s wine lodge, a lovely old building, take a tour plus wine tasting.

Lanzarote

Did the fire and mountain tour really enjoyed this trip.

Gibraltar (U.K.)

Take a taxi up the rock arrange it yourself £30. Cable car 🚠 can have lots of people queuing on busy days, you could have trouble getting back down and miss your ship.

Barcelona, Spain

So much to see and do, visit the Mercado de la Boqueria which can be reached on foot as it’s close to the port, head up La Rambla (it’s free to do)

Azura

Azura

If you play scrabble bring your own, we couldn’t find one onboard but we had our own.

Oslo, Norway

City bus tour very expensive but you get to see the city. Some very good museums in Oslo the Viking boat and villages worth a visit. Try and visit the excellent resistance museum which is inside the fort (free entry to the fort only) which was next to where the our ship was docked.

Skagen, Denmark

A nice little coastal town take shuttle bus or walk. Good museums and houses to visit. Shops and restaurants in town.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

We took the €10 return shuttle bus from the dock to Blankenberge which is a nice seaside town with a pier. Plenty of shops and bars to try the excellent Belgium beer. We found a bar that overlooked the quay which served 17 different beers🍺

Sapphire Princess

Sapphire Princess

Cabin E422 advertised as having a obstructed view but actually it is partially obstructed quite a good sea view.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Take the free shuttle bus. Do the canal boat ride you will see lots of sights. Then go to tivilo gardens.

Santorini, Greece

Do tour via P&O, if you do the wine tasting tour you end up at the top then you come done via the cable car.
