A: 5b) The app is primarily for use on the ship (no fee) & works its best in real-time only once it is connected to the ship's system, until then it suffers from lags and delays plus some outright misinformation (often showing things for the cruise that... is happening right now).See More

A: 5a) The full website's Cruise Planner is a better source of items available for preboarding purchase like excursions, spa/salon appointments, dinning/internet/photo packages, and many other options. Most of which will be more expensive once on board.

A: 4a) All cabins have safes, as to where they are each cabin can be a little different. Some are in the closet, some are in under the TV behind cupboard doors, and on 1 ship we found it sitting on top of the minibar cooler cabinet. A: 3c) Personally I would not drive straight through night to arrive on time for the physical check-in, since then until actual sail away can be a very hurry-up to wait type of experience and you will want to be somewhat fresh to explore the ship before... it gets too crowded or busy with activities. Try to schedule the ride that the drive can get 4-6 hours of sleep somewhere prior to arriving at the terminal.See More

A: The ship is small and one of the oldest in the fleet. It lacks many of the bells and whistles commonly found on many of RCCL’s newer, larger ships. That said the vision class, of which the Grandeur is, is a favorite of my wife and mine. The size faci... litates passengers interaction and a close knit crew. Familiarity with and navigation on the ship is easily achieved. There are several bars onboard where you can listen to live music and make new friends. We enjoy the Schooner Bar in the evening. Hanging out at the pool or in the solarium is always relaxing. Try a couples message in the spa. Cost is less on port days. Nightly shows in the theater featuring singers, dancers, and comedians are enjoyable as are passenger inclusive activities like karaoke, cocktail mixology classes, and my personal favorite The Love and Marriage Game. As for excursions, we love the couples cooking class at Playa Mia Beach Resort in Cozumel and the Lamanai Mayan Ruins in Belize. Both were purchased through RCCLSee More

A: You can pay by the glass/can, about $4/ea. So if you see a sale for the soda package between $8-10, it makes sense to get since 2-3 sodas will cost as much, plus the pkg. add Freestyle access. Standard teas, including some herbals, are free but self... serve. Teas hot or iced from the coffee shop are charged for. If on a ship with a Starbucks kiosk, those are NOT covered by any drink package.See More
