part 2... Failure to have your SetSail pass will require you to bring your paid in full booking invoice showing that you have passage on the ship at that time. Also since you don't have the boarding pass some cruise terminals will make you wait in the stand-by line to process in for embarkation, which could mean you would be among the last to board. end

part 1... No the online check-in through the Cruise Planner at royalcaribbean.com nor on the app is a requirement, but since that's how you pick your arrival time and get your SetSail Pass (boarding pass) it dies make the physical check-in process much much faster. see part 2
