I have taken over 14 cruises over my life and this cruise and ship was the greatest disappointment to me and my wife. Some of the cruise lines we have been on are: Regent Seven Seas, Radisson before it was bought by Regent, Carnival, NCL, Chandris Lines, Cunard, Disney Cruise Lines, and Holland America. I am nearing retirement and my wife and I will be planing 30 and 40 plus day cruises and even a 1/2 year cruises and Do not know if I will put Holland America in the hat. But I must say that the size and layout of our room 8082 0n the Zuidurdam was excellent for a long term cruise. The Overall Rating you assigned me below is wrong, I wuld rate this cruise as a 2! Not 3.6.

Main dining room good. Pinnacle restaurant very slow service. Parts of dinner were cold. Steaks came well done not medium as ordered. Cooked vegetables and patatoes were served cold. We ate at the Pinnacle 4 times. One night I ordered lamb chops to be medium well and 4 lamb chops were served. One was well done, one was blood rare, one was rare and one was medium. Canaletto restaurant was fast service and good food.

Ship was clean and staff were good at cleaning and sterilizing areas. But, ship overall is past it's best before date.

Ship tip
I am a smoker and this ship's smoking area was to small for the number of smokers onboard. I was on the Niew Amsterdam Alaska cruise 2 years ago and that ship had more and larger smoking areas. That ship had better overall layout and appeared newer than the Ziuderdam. Advice would be: if you are a smoker do not pick the Zuiderdam for a cruise.
Very crowded beach. I prepay-ed on your web site for a Clamshell Sunshade Rental with 2 chairs and when we got to the beach we did not receive one and the beach staff would not help us. The one lady told us she was to busy to help. One staff member was radioed by the beach coordinator said she would come and aid us never came. We walked and walked the beach and never found a Clamshell Sunshade and I use a walking aid.
We went to the Santa Barbara Beach Resort that we purchased on line with Cruise 411 and the resort was excellent. Excellent food, very modern and very clean. You should offer this Resort on your Excursions.
Ship only came into the lake to drop of people going on excursions and then returned to the locks. Ship did not cruise the lake. Very disappointed that the ship did not cruise the lake.
Buzz Killer, this dude to me is sad, angry and sour, nothing is going to please him. To me it looks like fake review, I don’t find it possible that every single place was dirty and nasty to him, just saying.
It doesn't really matter how many cruises someone has listed or not listed. It's up to the individual to put them there. Some don't. I don't think it's a fake but just a post from someone who's expectations of 3rd world locations are set way too high. Maybe five star resorts would be more your style.
Personally think this review is fake. No cruises listed. If not they should call ahead to these countries and let them know they are coming so they can straighten up. Have been to Aruba and Curacao many times and have never seen either as described.🤔🤔🤨
It seems some of the 3rd world country shocked such an affluent cruiser like yourself . Good look with your longer cruises make sure you pick some upmarket ports to visit
