As a 1st time cruise it was great. We were looking to see if we could even go on a cruise w/out being seasick. We were also trying to get an impression of places for retirement possibilities, or places we might like to return to for longer visits.  We chose Holland mostly because of the smoking policy and the timeframe of the cruise worked for us. We didn't do any excursions other than where our feet could take us from the ports. I would do some things differently next time. There are plenty of other islands to check out and this still seems like the best value to see many places in 1 trip.Happy

Cabin / Stateroom
Aft cabin at the stern. Loved the location. Watching and hearing the wake was relaxing as watching a fire in the fireplace. The verandah was longer than the port or starboard cabins also. The room was nice and had enough storage and hangers. The bed and pillows were fine. Not the best location if you get queasy easily.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Was just happy to get to the ship. Was a long prior night and morning.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Oranjestad, Aruba
Modern touristy
Willemstad, Curacao
Pretty..could benefit more by just having a litter or bottle return policy
Cartagena, Colombia
Was a rainy day. Didn't get to see the old city. The port zoo and shops were nice.
Enter Panama Canal At Cristobal
It is an interesting place to see and thing to do
Exit Panama Canal At Cristobal
Colon, Panama
Not much to walk to but we did buy a coffee and got the wifi password.
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
Not a lot to walk to near the port and again could stand a little cleaning up, but the friendly people stood out.

Tip

On embarkation day you should head up to the lido for lunch and by the time you go to your room your luggage will be there.
