Review summary

What a great introduction to southeast Alaska! One negative note - the wifi on the ship is very poor unless you pay to upgrade.

Overall, the food was excellent. We particularly liked Mark S. (Sauza?) in the Ocean Bar. He recognized my father from previous cruises and took special care of our group. Wonderful customer service. One negative - it was next to impossible to get reservations for our group of eight in the Dining Room or in the steakhouse (Pinnacle).

Really enjoyed the programs in the Lincoln Center area, very impressive. And we also enjoyed the dancers and the BB King musicians. Some of the talks were also interesting.

The service all around was excellent. The room stewards in particular were very friendly and helpful. And I mentioned Mark S. from the Ocean Bar above. He was such a nice person!

Ship Quality

I don't know about the layout and design - it took a few days to get acclimated. But the ship was very clean and well-maintained. I was impressed with the level of cleanliness.
