Review summary
We asked to have tables for two because we really wanted to spend quality time together. We know that this is not an easy request, and that frequently cruise lines will have more than one group at tables for dinner. However, every night we went to dinner in the main dining room, we had a table just for two.
Everything about the cruise was above what we expected, as we have cruised before, but not with Holland America. Holland America and all who work for them go above and beyond to make your stay fabulous!

Turn your phone to Do Not Disturb the entire time! Use your phone only for photos when you do not have your good zooming digital camera. You can blink and miss whales, seals and otters. They were out early in the morning (5:30 am) in Mid August every day. Do as much or as little as you want!

We called the company that we booked the cruise through and explained that we were celebrating our 25th and really wanted to spend it alone. We never expected that we would get a table for 2 in the dining room every time, even on nights that we did not eat at our set dinner time. If you want to eat early 5:45 or late 8:00, you should express this in advance too, although, you can call and make different reservations while on the ship. That is what we did since we had a 8:00 dinner time and one night wanted to eat earlier. We tried to change the 8:00 to earlier before the cruise, but we booked only 2 months prior and were unable to change it at that time anyway.
They really listen when you have something special going on. It is a great cruise line. Have fun!
