Went to see Northern Lights. - Success! Met new friends and had an excellent time.

Based on our other cruise experiences, we would not consider Viking again unless they had an itinerary that we could not get on another cruise line.

Very boring. Good for 70’s and up. You should buy the equipment to see the lights beforehand, otherwise you won’t see anything.

We loved visiting a Norway, truly a wonderful experience. Our third Viking trip in 12 months- love the line, but not quite up to our experience on the Sun. That was a tad disappointing for us.

Overall we really enjoyed the ship. With two days at sea out of a seven day trip, we took advantage of the spa, relaxing spaces and visiting with new friends made on the cruise. Very easy to do with the smaller Viking ship and less than 1,000 passengers. The ship never felt crowded.

Our cruise was wonderful and all we have come to expect from Viking. It was an experience of a lifetime and one to share with family and friends. The precruise trip to Tuscany was another story. The Villa we were assigned to was changed three time although we booked the cruise almost a year in advance. This made is a chore to keep family apprised of our whereabouts. The Villa itself, Villa Barronci, was lovely with beautiful country side. However our room could only be described as awkward. There was a step immediately on entering the room then another within three feet of that into the main bedroom area. There was nowhere to place a suitcase to open it outside of putting it on the floor. This awkwardness made it not up to what I would expect from Viking. The staff was friendly and the food excellent. As for the excursions they were exceptional, especially the winery and farm and San Gimignano, except for the excursion to Florence. It was disappointing and pedestrian. I expected a visit to the Uffizi Gallery and was disappointed.

This was the best cruise we've taken. The food was wonderful, the entertainment was great, we tried to experience everything on the ship ( couldn't!) and had a lovely time. Not enough entertainment at night, or in the afternoons for those who did not spend all day in the ports. We enjoyed the experience and have already booked our next one@!

It was a beautiful cruise after what we felt was limited and conflicting communication the initial day of boarding. The ship was well maintained, Staff was very attentive, dinning was exquisite, ports of call and excursions were all worthwhile. We enjoyed it thoroughly even if we lacked a little sleep due to location of our room.

Beautiful ship, excellent service but food and entertainment need improvement.

This is a wonderful cruise with the Croatian and Greek stop being the highlights. It was very disappointing not to see the David and the Uffizi in Florence, and Viking should indicate in its materials that because of the day of the week for this stop these two sights cannot be visited.

Wonderful cruise. The weather was cloudy and rainy on the trip up the Adriatic, but the sites were terrific. Loved the pre-cruise extension in Athens. Had a tremendous guide (Eva) and host at the hotel (Emma).

The average age of the cruisers seemed to be 75ish. Being under 50, the entertainment and expert speakers weren’t my style.

The Viking Star is an exceptional ship and the staff couldn't be better. Our hotel for the overnight in Havana was top notch as was the dinner and the entertainment. This was a fantastic opportunity to meet the people of Cuba and learn about their culture. We will definitely be cruising on Viking Ocean again. Thanks for a very memorable 7 days!

Although we have only been on three cruises....this was one of our most memorable experiences vacationing. We have travelled the world mostly on our own and don't particularly like arranged travel. However, this will go down as one of our best vacations ever...due to the contentious staff of Viking, their attention to detail and the wonderful and fun loving staff.....everyday we couldn't believe it but it just kept getting better!!

We know weather was raining and windy, but to miss 3 ports is not very good for only a 9 day cruise ! We wonder why could the MSC cruise ship get into the ports on the days we could not get in, is the MSC a better more stable ship ? should we have taken their cruise ? Excursions on Viking Star - very short and quality is poor, with little value, even the ones that are extra fees. 40 plus guests are TOO many on included and those with an extra charge !! We will need to understand if there is a problem with the Viking Star or the captain, before we consider travel on it again. Hotel and Food & Beverage were OK.

Viking did an excellent job of rescheduling many excursions due to uncooperative weather. Well done!

Although the the first two days were two fats of hell, flight delays and being stuck overnight in New Jersey and being 25 hours late boarding the ship, the cruise was more than I expected. Great ship and even better service from staff. Only problem, as noted earlier, was with the shower and it not being handled in a timely manner. Also Venice could have been handled better.

Ship was great ; weather not; substitution of Naples(which we didnt see) and Palma well below our high expectations. Our Viking River trip on the Danube set the bar high formking mid course corrections! I would expect some credit on our next trip (australia in 1/19) will be made.

The Viking experience was our best yet. We took another company's river cruise last year and thought we had experienced the best until this cruise. While still on a fairly small ship, the Viking Star was elegant as she was equipped with the finest staff, cuisine, lodging, and excursion choices. We look forward to our next Viking cruise!!
