Review summary

Wonderful experience. The included ships tours were a bit of a let down. The guides often had poor English and the itinerary did not seem to cover all the highlights in the allocated time. Too much “free time” for shopping and not value. For example we took the hop on hop off bus in Barcelona the day after the included ship tour and learnt so much more by doing this.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining was very good. Wide variety of new dishes added daily. The speciality restaurants really let this ship down in particular Manfredi’s. We had 4 bookings over the cruise in this restaurant but cancelled them after our first experience there. We waited 50 minutes from ordering to be served first course which was average in taste and presentation. Our main was steak (ordered half serves and medium rare) and were served neither. Steak was rare, tough and full 9oz. One serving had been cut up into 4 pieces for some reason. Not a good experience. Buffet consistently good. Pool Grill. Best burgers at sea by far.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
With only one sea day on a 12 day cruise onboard activities were limited.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Apart from previously mentioned speciality restaurant Manfredi the staff in other restaurants and bars were on top of their game. Professional and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great ship. Easy to get around with plenty of nooks and crannies for solitude. Very well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Don’t be too concerned if you miss the restaurant or excursion of your choice when booking pre-departure. Plenty of opportunity once onboard to reserve your choice.
