Lose ten pounds prior to sailing. Also, you don't need as much clothing because the on ship laundry was so handy. And, the soap was also available complimentary.

Your room key is needed for everything - get it hole punched at the customer service desk and take a lanyard to wear around your neck or tuck inside you shirt. Or take a small cross-body strap purse to have with you - room for a phone too. Ship has an onboard app with lots of info. Ship WiFi is good so we could text each other onboard.

Bring your own party. Traveling as a couple was boring. We met a lot of nice people but if you traveled with a group or a another couple you knew it would be more fun!

We purchased the silver spirits package and were pleased we could select different wines to enjoy any time we liked. The package was very affordable compared to other cruise lines. We packed too many clothes, so think about what you want, then cut that in half. Laundry service is offered on board, or you can wash your own clothes for free in the laundry room on each floor. Viking provides the soap as well.
