Review summary

Great ship, amazing service, food disappointing, no currency exchange ability onboard, needs more activities onboard, a lot of loud talking and laughing in the spa area which was strange, probably would not choose Viking in the future.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Fast, easy, just wished we could have been in our cabin sooner. Hard to fly 8-9 hrs and then sit for a few hours waiting to get in your cabin.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We found the food in the restaurants lacking seasoning. The World Cafe food was not -n acceptable temperature. Once you found a table and sat on your food was Luke warm at best, sometimes cold.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Viking Sky did not have many activities. Saw a lot of people reading, doing puzzles & playing cards. We were bored.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Only attended one outside dancing under the stars. Need some updated ideas.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Amazing service and attentive to your concerns & needs

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very modern, clean and uncluttered. Every thing is so well maintained. Beautiful ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was smaller than I expected. Needs more drawer space for clothes. Comfortable king bed, fantastic bathroom with those very warm heated floors. Love the large glassed In shower.

Ship tip

Bring your own party. Traveling as a couple was boring. We met a lot of nice people but if you traveled with a group or a another couple you knew it would be more fun!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

Must must must go to the Flamenco Show. Fantastic. Also the Gaudi architecture excursion was fantastic. We were blessed with a wonderful guide.

Marseille (Provence), France

4 out of 5
This was a very laid back excursion with wine tasting and visiting a very pretty village. Steep climbing cobblestone paths that were hard for a lot of the guests.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

4 out of 5
Beautiful Monte Carlo. Lots of walking again. Disappointed that they charge you to get into the casino, wished we knew sooner might have picked a different excursion.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

4 out of 5
Very crowded, hard to really see anything. Excursion did not include entry to anything but the leaning tower of Pisa which was wow! Great leather items and yummy Italian food for lunch.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

3 out of 5
Lots to see, very heavy crowds. Again, tremendous amount of walking. Wished the buses could have picked us up closer to the Vatican. Lunch prior to the Vatican was not that great. Wished we could have gone into the coliseum verses driving by at 40 mph.

Naples, Italy

5 out of 5
Visited Pompeii. That was amazing. Ate at an original authentic pizza parlor, very good. Had a lot of fun.

Corfu, Greece

3 out of 5
Found this port boring. Not much to see here. Would love to go to other places in Greece instead.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

5 out of 5
The most beautiful place I have ever seen.

Split, Croatia

3 out of 5
Walked through a national park with some waterfalls, not what I expected.

Venice, Italy

4 out of 5
Loved the evening gondola ride. Lots of walking again. Not a lot to do there except shop. Very cool city.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Very easy, fast, took us straight into the airport.
