Traveling today is difficult and not for the lazy. I must say that Viking provided us with everything we needed to travel to Iceland and when we were on board I always felt safe and well cared for. Getting to and from the cruise was certainly the hardest part. Once on board we simply enjoyed every moment. Viking did their best to make everything perfect. It was not perfect - but it WAS wonderful!

By following all the guidelines before leaving home, we were prepared and just flashed our various documents at the airport, then boarding the ship was quick and easy.

Great food and lots of variety to choose from. Loved their seafood buffet and we ate in Manfredi''s three times. The rib eye steak is simply amazing.
Onboard Activities

We really did not have much free time on board as we were busy with excursions at ever port and no sea days. We simply relaxed in our amazing suite during the down time. The heated pool, ice cave, steam room, etc at the spa is amazing and a great way to relax.
Entertainment

The shows were good, but it may be time for some new material. It was almost the same shows as we had seen in the past.

Every one of the staff we met was exceptional. Some, like our room steward were simply amazing. Always friendly, smiling and helpful.

Oh my.... after staying in this explorer suite it will be impossible to book a regular veranda again. The cabin itself was exceptional. Our only complaint was because of it''s location, at times, it was very noisy. When they were not moving, or docked, and instead used the bow thrusters to maintain position it was very loud. Also, when out at sea, there were times that the waves hit the boat with a very loud bang every few minutes making it hard to sleep.
