Great cruise. From excitement in Barcelona (civil unrest) to surprising Croatia, and best of all, only 2 days of rain! Also a shout out to friendly Corfu, Greece!
Smooth as silk!
Food and Dining
Menu’s geared toward the tastes of each port coming up; especially tasty.
Enjoyed the planetarium and the many presentations with details of the next port stop.
Maybe a little heavy on the opera singers, but otherwise we saw some fabulous shows; talent.
Adults only on Viking. And no casino!
Service and Staff
Very attentive and friendly.
Just the right size at just over 900 passengers. The Jupiter is currently Viking’s newest ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
Enough room not to feel cramped. Comfy bed, great shower in a bathroom with a heated floor.
Ports Of Call
Even with the civil unrest, what’s not to like!? Gaudi!
Marseille (Provence), France
Monte Carlo, Monaco
Did not visit port
Stormy weather and high winds closed the port.
Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
With Monte Carlo taken out, we enjoyed 2 days in Livorno, allowing us a day each in Florence & Pisa.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
Enjoyed this port’s “included” tour. Important to verify all port’s distance from the designated city, as the bus ride can eat up to 2 hours each way.
Excellent for me, a history buff, as I took a Naples tour above & below ground.
Didn’t realize it was a holiday in Corfu. Bands marching through out our visit. Very friendly people!
A nice surprise! A wonderful city!
Went to the fabulous Krka National Park. (Only negative was it rained.)
My first time in Venice. We took an evening Gondola ride.
Smooth, other than needing to leave at 4:30 AM to catch an early morning flight.
