Be prepared for a wonderful experience. On this Eastern European tour these formerly Communist countries are an especially interesting part of Europe that aren't so touristy, and have beautiful scenery & architecture with wonderful, friendly people who show inspiring resiliency.

Major difference in size between Veranda cabins and all other types. Not everyone will find non-balcony cabins acceptable. Balconies have extra storage.

Viking Cruises are very scheduled and activities start early. Be on time! If you want to experience local things in your free time, do some research beforehand so you can calculate how much time you have before disembarking to the next port.

Have dinner a time or two on the Acquavit Terrace - it's quiet and intimate. Experience and enjoy as much as possible!

O know we had a schedule to keep, but perhaps have more free time options in port. We would have loved to have had other options in Vennia for returning to the ship. Being that no one was really there before we would have enjoyed staying a few more hours if we known a bus would be there to take us back afterward

I would look at Viking as a "high end" hop on hop off to visit Europe. Take advantage of the excursions and plan you next, more lengthy stay in Europe.
