We had a wonder experience with Viking. Us the opportunity to see the cities and make new friends. Take advantage of the excursions as they provide a deeper experience. Also, the silver package is worth it as there are some nice beverage upgrades. We have done cruises in the past and this is our first riverboat. I will stick to riverboats if traveling with out children or grandchildren. It was very nice to cruise without kids.

The breakfasts need some updating. Also, there should be snacks available throughout the day. For example, popcorn and pretzels and such.

The music was too loud and it was hard to have conversations in the bar. The singer was tiring after a while. I would consider no singer and instead use local musicians with classic music from the region.

Eric was excellent at maintaining our room. It would be nicer if we had more days without a boat tied next to ours covering the view.
Ship tip
I would look at Viking as a "high end" hop on hop off to visit Europe. Take advantage of the excursions and plan you next, more lengthy stay in Europe.
Everyone must do at least one River cruises in Europe as a starter to visit and enjoy the historic cities and sites.
