Viking Forseti - only comment. Bring layers because of weather. Tours are easy. If you cannot do a regular tour, they are very accommodating.

Like al the Viking longships, Forseti is comfortable and laid out well. Arrivals and departures are hassle-free and the shore excursions included with the voyage are excellent. Most are comfortable to walk, although a few will make life challenging for anyone with a mobility issue.

Do not buy airline tickets from Viking Cruiseline. Even if you pay for full coverage insurance (the involved insurance company: TripMate), they will not reimburse for the airline ticket if your trip has to be interrupted.

There are two self-serve coffee stations which also offer cookies all day long. Sometimes there are chocolate madeleines.

Do the Pre Cruise trip ,it helps you acclimate to the time change and is a well guided tour that you don’t have to think about anything from lodging to transportation etc. a great way to ease into the actual cruise

Reserve a balcony room on the top floor (300 level) starboard side, not the 200 level as the ship docked on this side of the Quai and river's tide dropped the ship below the promenade leaving no view or sun making the balcony useless. Book your room on any level on the port side of the Foreseti for daily views of the river no matter the tide.
