Review summary

Very good trip in many respects, but some disappoints. Not our best on Viking.

There were in effect no specialty restaurants, but food and service generally excellent, capturing the theme of the cruise quite well.

With very few exceptions, all staff were outstanding.

Yes, but with a full ship, they lounge area was often overcrowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

Partially our fault, but cabin was very tight in virtually every respect. Bathroom and shower especially tight (on some airlines, theirs are larger) making it virtually for two persons to use it at the same time for anything. Likewise, moving around the cabin was often quite difficult.

Ship tip

Would not recommend THIS INTINERARY as one's first river cruise. Take care in cabin selection.
