Review summary

The cruise was amazing, even on sea days there was lots to do. The destinations were excellent. The only downside was the cabin when the bunk beds were put down.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My daughter has Autism and P and O helped us through check in, took less than 10 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I mainly used the main dining room as the service was better than the Buffet area.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were usually very packed so couldn’t swim. Crazy golf was ok but too small, as it was a moveable set up.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The magic show was ok not overly impressed as the lights were too bright and you could see how the magic was done! The other shows were good in the Arena.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The cabin was always cleaned to a highish standard. Most waiters were friendly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I couldn’t fault the cleanliness. The ships layout is a little bit confusing especially when some stairwells lead to nowhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The only downside with this cabin was the bunk beds, when the bunk beds were put down it made the cabin very small and I kept hitting my arms and back.

Ship tip

Unpack straight away if you have bunk beds in your cabin

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

3 out of 5
Expensive food courts stay open very late, whilst the normal ones closed at 7.00pm a bit difficult when you have a child that will only eat certain types of food due to Autism.

Stavanger, Norway

4 out of 5
There is not a lot to do at this port, the highlight was taking part in the Pepsi Max challenge.

Olden, Norway

5 out of 5
Amazing views. Got of the ship and paid to do the hop on hop off bus that took us to see the Glaciers, water fall and the main shops.

Alesund, Norway

4 out of 5
There was loads of tourists arriving at the same time so very difficult to get Shore excursions. Viking boat was a good experience and I would this again.

Bergen, Norway

5 out of 5
The only downside was not enough time to explore in Bergen. Funicular railway is a must but best to prebook tickets online and get there early. The views from the top was spectacular and the place is excellent for exploring so take drinks with you.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
No help with disembarkation, didn’t like being put into a designated area that was enclosed for up to an hour
