Review summary

The food was a HUGE disappointment and one of the primary reasons for trying Oceania. Not sure I would sail again unless I read reviews that indicate they have addressed whatever issues they were having. Specifically, food was bland; a number of times it took an extremely long time to be served; one of our two dinners in the steakhouse had about the worst beef filet I've ever had -- obviously poor quality and had been frozen -- color was grey and tasteless. Red Ginger was very good each time we dined there.

Oceania did NOT live up to its reputation on this cruise. There was clearly something off in the kitchen, both with quality of ingredients, preparation and speed of prep. This was our first Oceania cruise and we were very disappointed. Many guests who were repeat cruisers with Oceania (one couple had done 12 Oceania cruises) said they've never experienced food this poor on a prior Oceania cruise.

They were good. My only complaint was the the entertainer singing in the Martinis lounge was using an amp system and it was too loud. The size of that lounge doesn't require or warrant amplification!
