Glad we did it. Will likely cruise again with Regent when we’re looking for a 5-star ship experience where the goals are to eat, drink and just relax. The nail then we will take more active vacations.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Delayed shuttle pick up at the hotel and long wait to check in made a poor first impression
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Although portions were very small, Pacific Rim was excellent.
Chartreuse was a 10, from the service to the food. Blue cheese soufflé and mushroom soup were to die for.
We enjoyed Cocktails in the lounges and French press coffee in Coffee Connection.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Enjoyed the fitness center daily. The sauna and women's locker room facilities were first rate. Played pickle ball one day, too. If you wanted to be active, there were some good options for the self motivated. Sis not partake in organized activities.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
None of them appealed to us as early 50 year olds so we passed.
Children's Programs
None available.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The personnel we met were very nice but many seamed rushed or tired.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Luxury at sea for sure.
Cabin / Stateroom

We loved our suite and the staff who attended to it daily.
Ship tip
If you are active and enjoy more than just “the ship” experience, you might grow bored unless you use the gym and find ways to get in some activity. It definitely caters to those who love to eat, drink, and just chill.
Our waterfall jumping excursion was a big disappointment. Over crowded, not at all as advertised - more of a water park experience with thousands of people in a dirty river - than an invigorating excursion.
Took our own trip to Shell Beach for a few hours and then did a 90 minute snorkeling excursion through Regent. Finished our day with beer and gazpacho on a patio at a local cafe. Delightful day!
Waterfalls and river tubing excursion was pretty good. Our guide - the son of a former head of the island - was so knowledgeable! The river was low so tubing was so-so but the day was enjoyable.
