Review summary

One of the many things Regent does well is the early morning departure for the popular sites. Although it is tough getting up early after a lovely meal and show, the early arrival is so worth it as we visit before the crowds arrive. We so look forward to these trips that it is sad to see them end. Regent does an outstanding job of ensuring guests have the experience they have paid for.

Embarkation

The transfer from airport to the hotel was shaky. Staff was a bit unsure of logistics. The COVID testing was nerve wracking as we had to have a negative test to board. The logistics for this process were perfect.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Missed seeing some of the old staff, but the current crew are great. Very friendly and doing their best!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
we played pickleball, putt putt and ping pong. The items were removed & you had to go to Destination Services to get the equipment which seemed unnecessary. Could have used staff to do that.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Cast was fantastic. Technical support amazing. Seating improved from previous ships although hard to move into the rows as people like to sit on the end. The musical combo of Boogie & Kasia were outstanding, Their ability to make everyone feel at home & dance was the best we have seen on our Regent Cruises. I want to hire them for our next event!

Children's Programs

No kids on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone did their best in this COVID environment. Hard to believe that the staff has not been allowed to leave the ship. I hope they are nicely compensated for their service. They are doing a great job.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Felt extremely safe as every place on the ship was SPOTLESS.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We upgraded this cruise and will not be going back to the other levels. Perfect size room! Support staff (Christopher and Christi) were outstanding. Towels, sheets, pillows and other items were of the nicest quality.

Ship tip

I'd like to keep it a secret, but the infinity pool off the spa level is the best spot on the ship.

The volcano hike was the best part of the cruise. Santorini is lovely, but so crowded. The view from afar was perfect! The guide was outstanding, She has done the climb over 5000 times in her career!

Mykonos, Greece

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

Trip was put together at the last minute (not sure why). There wasn't enough information on what we were doing, so many people were not prepared for the walking, mosque visit, or lack of facilities. It should have been better communicated & planned.

Disembarkation

The new port in Istanbul is amazing.

I'm getting this same suite for 2023; did you experience noise from the sixth deck?

Awesome. Wish it had pictures, but I'm noticing Regent cruisers don't post a lot of pictures recently. I was to go in August, but had it cancelled. I'm doing the Panama Canal instead.
