Review summary

The shadow of COVID over this voyage was constant. We were tested five times and protections added a significant burden for everyone. Yet the dedication of staff shone through and both staff and passengers benefited from that camaraderie and commitment to make the best of it all.

Transfer from hotel to ship was way too long, but testing, checking and boarding we’re done well.

Overall, the speciality restaurants and main dining were consistently excellent, better than on previous voyages with Regent. The Veranda was somewhat less so.

Best we have ever head in Concierge Suite. Especially storage outlets and layout. The bed, however, seemed a bit undersized with a less than firm mattress.

I was waiting to hear from someone on this app/site who went on this cruise. I learned that Shipmate/Cruiseline has largely mainstream cruisers. That said, I was very curious how this cruise went. I was scheduled on Explorer for a Mediterranean voyage that had to cancelled because Greece and Turkey were Level 4 for COVID. I'm glad you didn't rate the cancelled ports 1 star because you missed them. I personally cannot stand when people do that. Thanks again for the review.
